I.... I mean WE.... are BACK!!!!

Did everyone miss us? I'm sure every one of you thought it would be a while until I posted again... and you were right for the most part... but I'm sure none of you were expecting me to update the blog just yet, now did ya!! Well, the Honeymoon was fun for the most part. It was nice being together and so relaxing after all the wedding and school craziness - my only complaint was the weather. Had it not been so
cold, we probably could have gotten out and done a lot more... but that's ok :)
This was our first day on the Carnival Paradise cruise ship. You can't see it, but behind us out the window was the "Queen Mary". We thought we could get it in the picture, but no dice...

So then we had to kick Tyson out of the picture to get the Queen Mary in ;) The next day we stopped at Catalina Island. It was windy, cold and overcast that day, but it was quite beautiful nonetheless. We just spent a couple of hours walking around checking out all the shops and stuff. It really was a neat little island, and think it would be fun to go back during the summer or something...

Our next stop was Ensenada, or as Grandma Gubler calls it, "Espenala". That was a lot more fun because the weather was nice that day, and we were able to take a bus tour to "La Bufadora"... that's spanish for "The Blow-hole". La Bufadora sounds a lot prettier... Anyway, the bus ride up there was about 45 minutes long, but we had a pretty long winded tour-guide, so it wasn't too unbearable. The blow hole was pretty cool, but after watching it shoot water out for the tenth time, we decided it was time to walk around the shops and get mauled by the merchants, who surprisingly spoke English better than they did Spanish. It really was a fun day though :)












































The dinners were the most fun, and the food (Well the dinner food) was so good!! We had such a fun table! There were two other Honeymoon couples at our table with us, another young couple, and then an 85 year old couple who where so fun! Their story was the best though... They were married to different spouses for 65 years, and had known each other most of their lives, having family parties together, their kids growing up together, going to high school, going to school dances etc. Well both their spouses died within a couple of years of the other, and these two married each other a little while later! They have been married for two years now. They were so fun! Also, our waiter was from the Philippines, so he and Tys became buds real quickly! They had fun speaking Tagalog to each other and talking about different areas in the Philippines. It was a lot of fun :)




















Thanks again to all the family for all the wedding help! And thanks to the family who had to travel a ways to be there for it! It meant a lot to me! We sure love you all!!!

"This is what happens when........"

So about two or three weeks ago, I had a 'Girls Night' with Tierra Johnson and her cousin Aimee Fawcett. For some reason we were all feeling a little silly and decided to raid Tierra's costume box and put on anything and everything that we could find! Then we spent the rest of the night taking pictures of our creative apparel and stunning people with our good looks as they drove by! Then we went and got ourselves some ice cream and ate it while we loaded the pictures onto the computer and watched a slide show of them!!! Ha ha!! I must say it was a lot of fun though!!! During the 'photo shoot' and between being crazy and laughing hysterically at ourselves, Aimee turned to Tierra and and I and said... "Look at us!!! This is what happens when you decide to have a girls night after spending most or all of your time with boys (or a boyfriend)!!" So true. I doubt you'll ever catch Tyson and me doing anything like that on a random Wednesday evening..... Or will you? :)

That's Right...... I'm engaged!!! Yay!!!!

Well, as most of you (if not all of you) know, Tyson proposed to me on Tuesday night..... I told him I'd have to think about it and get back with him. Ha Ha, of course I said yes in a heart beat, thus we are FINALLY engaged - after a year and half of dating! Whoo hoo!! I know a lot of you have been wondering if it was ever going to happen for me ;) It's been great though.... I'm glad we've dated for as long as we have, because we have gotten to know each other really well, so I don't feel like there will be any major surprises when we get married! Most of you know the engagement story too, but for those of you who want it in full, your going to have to call me to get the scoop! But the actual proposal was perfect. He completely surprised me by showing up to the house on Tuesday ( I thought he was in meetings all day in Cedar City ) and popping the question later that evening in the back yard. I started jumping up and down and squeeling and I think I even did a cartwheel or something..... anyway, then I hugged him again, and he said "So.....does that mean yes?" Ha ha, poor guy didn't even get a straight answer from me! We are getting married on November 22 in the St. George Temple! The funny thing about that is, I had already called the temple the Saturday before and scheduled us to be married for that date before he had even proposed! We had talked about it though and decided to go with the 22 of November, so it's not like I totally surprised him by doing that! Ha Ha, I'm a dork!

Anyway, some of the family that lives far away wanted me to post pictures of the ring, so I tried to take some close-ups of it to post!! Some of the pictures (because they are close-ups) I think make it look a little bit bigger than it really is. Also, it's a good thing I didn't try to take up a career in hand modeling, cause....dang!!! But here it is anyway! I love the ring though, he did a great job at picking it out, and it is perfect for me!!! Yay!!!! I'm so excited!!!

Grant's and Micah's Cow





Well, it's been four days now, and Bandit is still missing :( I can't image that she would just abandon her kittens or not show up for some food at least - so I am presuming her dead...... These little kittens are so adorable though! They are so playful!!! They are starting to take to the cat food and store-bought milk now, so I think that they will be ok without their mom! If you know any one who might want a kitten, let me know - but I am keeping the calico :) Mom really wants me to keep the calico because she believes it will have cute kittens - she said if it has calico kittens that look like her (especially boys), then we could sell them on Ebay for a couple hundred!! Yes, she really said that hahaha!!!!
Shivers has been quite the little stink with these kittens. I don't know if he feels threatened or is just a flat out pansy and scared of them, but he isn't taking to them so well. He's batted at two of them (knocking one off the tree stump), and all they were trying to do was play with him! Hopefully he will get used to them. We still love Shivers though - I will usually find him running sideways around the yard, climbing up trees spaztically and jumping off of them. He always runs to me all crazy like when I'm walking and I either end up tripping over him or kicking him hard (accidentally). Sometimes I think he has Mad Cat Disease.... I try to jog up and down the hill, but it's difficult because Shivers likes to hide behind one of the bushes or in the shadow's and come out at me right as I jog by then hurry and run back to the bush. Even though I know he's going to do it, it still scares me every time!!
And finally, Grant's cow. I don't know what his name is, or if he even has a name..... but nonetheless he's here at the house as part of the pet family. He had been hanging out in the upper half of the field, because the lower half was gated off..... Well, today Micah opened up the lower half (giving the cow the entire field to roam), and I don't know what happened, but the cow is going crazy!! I can't tell if he likes it or if he's mad at the situation. He keeps mooing and running around like he wants to charge at something.... He'll sniff a bunch of stuff in the lower half of the field then take off running again like he's going crazy!! He keeps doing it - sniffing vigorously then running out of control. Anyway, I thought it was hilarious, and I got a good laugh at it as I sat on the swing and watched him for awhile! I'm sure he'll get used to the changes. :)

Well, I finally did it!! I'm updating my blog for the first time in two months!! I guess you know what that means..... yep, I'm engaged! JUST KIDDING!!! Hahaha! Nope, it means I finally have new pictures and new things to talk about! Life is good - I'm still trying to get adjusted to living here in La Verkin and having Mom and Dad gone..... It has been a rougher transition that I thought (big surprise right?) Tys and I are still dating - taking turns driving back and forth between La Verky and Cedar City.
Also, for those of you who don't know, I am starting a performing group for kids ( a 'Mini Acclamation' if you will.....), and our first classes will begin next week!! I'm really excited! It should be a lot of fun, and I thank Martha for motivating me to do it, and Nikki and Martha for their help!
The Miss UT pageant is in July, so it's sneaking up on me pretty quickly!! I've been working with Karmen Wilson (My pageant director) a little, but I need to bump it up into high speed now if I want to be fully prepared! Other than that I've just been working (at Cross Creek) and spending time at home. I know what you're all thinking; Lucky girl. Right? Ha ha j/k.

On Monday, Tyson, Me and our friend Isaac went to Toquerville falls. Here are some pics. It was a lot of fun!!!

Sand Hollow Resort

Well, the past ten days have been a little crazy for me! Karmen Wilson (my pageant director) was one of the event coordinators for the 'Sand Hollow Resort Block Party' (which was kind of in conjunction with the St. George Parade of Homes), and she asked me to be a part of this event. So from Friday the 15th up until Sunday the 24th I have been bouncing back and forth between spending the entire day out at Sand Hollow Resort (with my crown and banner on, which made me feel kind of silly), and over at a booth in the Red Cliffs Mall handing out brochures and spreading the word about the block party. The first two days out at the Resort (Fri. and Sat.), Karmen arranged for G.I. Jill (Miss UT, Jill Stevens) to come out and spend the day with me meeting and greeting people and passing out free FatBoy ice cream sandwiches. It was a lot of fun having her there - the only problem was I had lost my banner and had to re-order another one and it hadn't come yet - so of course EVERYONE knew who Jill was, and they all wanted to come talk to her..... so here I am hanging out with her, and all I have is a crown on. Nine times out of ten, after a person or group of people would finish their conversation with Jill, they would turn to me and say "Who are you?" After a while I finally just started to answer them by saying "Well, I'm Miss Fat Boy!!" There were actually quite a few people who believed me, and a couple of older women said "Oh how cute! They give you a Tiara for that?" Ha Ha Ha!! It was fun :)

So let me explain a little bit about the whole Block Party shin-dig. What happened was people were welcome to come out to the resort and tour the three model homes out there, and also tour the new golf course they have out there. There were free self-guided tours of the course, and free helicopter rides that flew over the entire resort (of which I had the opportunity to do, and it was AWESOME!!) Anyway, they had a number of events going on out there: Live entertainment, putting contests, temporary Steak and Seafood restaurant, different vendors, Harley giveaways.... it was pretty cool. The best part was this: During this time we (Karmen, myself and a few others) where selling Golf Balls with the Sand Hollow Resort Logo for two dollars a piece as a fund raiser for The Children's Miracle Network. They could take the golf ball out onto the green and putt it for a number of prizes (free lunch, discount at the pro-shop, fast pass to ride the helicopter etc.) We ended up raising a total of $7,000 for the Children's Miracle Network, and was able present a check to Renita Revill, who is a representative for the Children's Miracle Network, this past Saturday!!! So, even though these past ten days have been a little draining, it was all worth it in the end!

Fun Date, Fun Day!!!

That's right! BAMMM!!

Well, about a week and 1/2 ago Tyson and I went on a super awesome fun day date. It was on Martin Luther King Jr. Day (Matt's favorite holiday), and it really was a blast! First we went to Wal-Mart (exciting huh!!!) and we bought a little plastic sled for $7. Then we drove up the canyon a little ways and found the perfect spot for snow sledding! I did most of the sledding, because Tyson's weight hindered the sled from going down very quickly (if at all) :) Ha ha, what do you expect, it's a child's sled!! I was lucky to even make it down on it! Also, neither one of us had "Real" snow clothes (I left my home in LaVerkin) so by the time we were finished, we were both soaked and on the verge of frost bite! I did, however, have a wonderfully warm coat that protected the upper half of my body (thanks Matt and Kim :) Anyway, after returning from the mountain we changed into warm, dry clothes, ate lunch, then set off to go shooting! That was also tons of fun! Tyson has a really good shot, and he hardly missed a target! I was really embarrassed because I wasn't even remotely close to hitting any of the targets, until I realized that I wasn't using the aiming guidelines built on to the gun, so once I figured that out I was ripping it up!! Yep, so then we went home, ate dinner and watched the news! Ha ha, I know that sounds kind of lame, but it really was a fun day for us!

Fun In The Snow!!!

Tyson Is Going To Kill Me When He See's This!!!!

Hey guys!! I bet you all thought you'd never see me up-date this thing again!! Well, don't worry, Nikki (along with many others) reminded me that I'm way past due on up-dating it!! These past couple of weeks have been crazy with Welcome Back Week and SUU Idol, which has pretty much consumed my entire being!! But, the good news is, it's finally over!!! Yay!!! I gotta say though, it was a lot of fun and well worth the hard work! We started off the week with giving away free stuff, hosting the Dash 4 Cash at the Women's Basketball Half-time, held auditions for SUU Idol on Tues. Night (We had 20 people compete and lot's of people just there to watch) a dance afterward, Wednesday we had the first official round of SUU Idol at noon then brought a Comedian in for the evening activity and passed out free subs, Thurs. we had the second round of SUU Idol at noon, and then set up for a drive-in movie with hot chocolate and cider later that night. Yesterday was the last day of Welcome Back Week where we had the final round for SUU Idol!! It was great! After that we served free pizza before opening up the 'Mentalist' show. We had a mentalist come and perform last night, and he read minds and moved tables and spoons with his 'mind's energy'..... Kind of like Matilda...... Anyway, I don't really believe any of that crap, but it was still fun to watch :) And it was a big success!! The Ballroom was nearly full! So I'm feeling pretty good about the outcome of the Welcome Back Week! Unfortunately I never took any pictures :( But I am going to post some pictures I have from Christmas and Thanksgiving Break, so I hope you enjoy!!!

Tyson helped me put this Christmas tree up in my apartment...... I didn't have many decorations, but it still worked out ok!! I was just glad to have one. However, I didn't have a star, and I asked him to make one for me.... so I gave him what I had from my scrapbooking collection and he came up with this! Isn't it nice? :)
